About
Home Front
A private weather dashboard for one backyard weather station: the weather at home, from the big sky down to the backyard.
What it shows
- Now: current conditions, feels-like and wet bulb globe temperature, and a 10-day forecast.
- Explore: charts for any time range, from 24 hours to all history: temperature, humidity, wind, pressure, rain, sun, UV and lightning.
- History: a calendar heat map for each year, a summary for each month, and station records.
How it works
The station on the roof sends its readings to the WeatherFlow cloud. Every hour, a scheduled job gets the new readings and saves them as files. Cloudflare Pages then publishes this site with those files. There is no server and no database.
The weather data needs a password. You type it one time on each device.
The name and the logo
"Home Front" is a weather front, seen from home. The logo is the station itself on its mast on the roof: the cups that measure wind speed, the vane that shows wind direction, and the shield around the temperature sensor. A storm cloud is behind it.
Weather data comes from a WeatherFlow Tempest station and the Tempest forecast. Home Front is a personal project. It is not made by WeatherFlow and is not connected to WeatherFlow.
